Keep Fit, Start Now, No Regret
One fine day, I realized that fats started accumulating around my waste and the feeling of lethargy kicked in pretty easily. There is a need to stay healthy and active to enjoy life as it is and in the future – I thought to myself. So the exploration of various sports begun.
Run it is!
Somehow after a few tries on some sports and activities like cycling, badminton, gym etc, running quickly get me addicted. Reason mainly due to the fact that this form of exercise is one of the most effective for weight loss and shedding extra pounds. It also requires no equipment to bring along unlike most of other sports. Minimum preparation as well. You will just need yourself, a pair of comfortable running shoes, and simple clothing to begin with.
You can also run almost anywhere you like. Around the neighborhood, in the park, at the beach, or in the city center. Running up and down flights of stairs if you are more extreme. Anytime in fact, in the morning, afternoon (where the sun is up high and strong – some people like this kind of feeling – but not for me), evening, or even in the middle of the night.
Morning and evening seems to work better for me. They fit better into my schedules, are the best times to avoid the harshness of harmful sun rays, and are the cooler part of the days which can help you with a better run.
Looking at how flexible it is and how varied the places it can be done, I have come to conclusion that it can take me to places cheaply and conveniently where my legs can take me. Hence this form of exercise is my choice of staying fit for now and a long time to come.
Results of run! Benefits? Aplenty.
Lucky for me to get acquainted with running, I must have found gold in the woods – a search from the Internet proudly yields me the many benefits of running. To name a few:
- Improving the health
- Building stronger bones
- Preventing disease

- Boosting of confidence
- Relieving of stress
- Eliminating of depression

If you are looking at loosing weight or keeping fit, you will have to give it a try. It simply works. Ever since I started, I have hardly fallen sick, become stronger, more focused, and have generally become a better me holistically!
To give you an idea of how effective it is in getting rid of those fats, here are some personal statistics.

Total Distance: about 150 km
Age: 30++ (2016)
Height: 172 cm

Quite impressive is not it? What are you waiting for! Christmas?
Get started now if you have not. However, take your time to build up momentum, especially you have not run before in your life time (no surprise). Start with walk or jog, then progress into run. There are also plenty of good articles on the Internet about how to start running. Help yourself to them. Consult a doctor or fitness expert if you are in doubt.
Although I would admit that it will be tough to start and stay true to it! But once you get the hang of it, you would not want to let go.
Where to run? Explore.
Here comes the hardest part. Where to run?
Once you start to enjoy your run as you get better at it, your mind starts to wonder. Hmm… how can I better enjoy my runs now that I can go further and faster? The answer is ironically simple, try out all sorts of run, and find new places to explore with your runs. Unless you are a mundane person, you will want to only run in the same place forever. In a worst case, running in a stadium rounds after rounds. No!!!
So, I will document the places I have run and explored for my personal reference, along with probably some useful tips, and for those who would like to try them out. Hope you will like them and find them useful. Here we go!
