Who does not like the feeling of regular money flowing into your bank account. Every dividend stock investor look forward to seeing their bank account cash in with dividend deposited from the CDP (Central Depository). It’s everyone’s dream to build a great dividend stock portfolio that can churn regular passive income – ideally to retire with!

As an average retail investor in Singapore, I constantly seek valuable and stable dividend stocks to add to my passive income stock portfolio – to move towards my retirement dreams!

Income Investor Retirement Strategy Via High Dividend Stocks

So the road to retirement surely needs you to build a constant stream (or streams if you will) of money regulary so you do not need to depend on your day job to keep you afloat. This requires some form of income generating strategy. And you need to know what you can do to generate your passive income.

Generating passive income by the means of dividend stocks has to be my favorite of them all. It is the most accessible, straight forward to understand, and fairly value for money approach. And here’s a table to remind myself how to achieve the goal.

Dividend Yield

Dividend yield, is simply the dividend per share of a stock. The formula being, Dividend Yield = Annual Dividend / Share Price.

It may seem simple, but there are things to watch out for and be wary understanding high dividend yield, and why dividend yield matters to income investors.

There are plenty of information on the Internet to guide you or teach you on how to choose a good dividend stock. I will not be giving you such information here. But to share with you some of my favorites, stable, and high yield stocks (in my case, 5% or more), from SGX (Singapore Exchange).
